Celebrating the Next Generation of Agriculture

At Compeer Financial, we're committed to helping young and beginning farmers succeed through financing, education and resources designed to support every stage of their journey. The GroundBreaker of the Year Award is one way we recognize the leaders who are making a difference both on and off the farm.

The annual award honors young and beginning farmers who demonstrate leadership, innovation, resilience, advocacy and community involvement. Recipients are selected from among Compeer clients across Illinois, Minnesota and Wisconsin and represent the future of agriculture in the communities we serve.

One GroundBreaker of the Year receives a $5,000 award and a $2,500 charitable donation made in their name, while two honorable mentions each receive a $2,500 award.
