Our Women's Retreat gives you time to focus on community building, self-reflection, personal growth and learning.  You’ll deepen your networks and relationships through a framework of shared language that’s built throughout the retreat. Hosted at a beautiful venue with a variety of session this retreat will enhance your ability to create positive impacts on your farm, with your family and in your community.

Day 1
11:00-12:00 p.m. Arrival, Check In and Lunch
12:00-12:45 p.m. Opening Remarks and Orientation
1:00 – 5:00 p.m. Performance Under Pressure: Managing Reactions
Have you ever looked back at how you reacted to something and wondered "what just happened?"  Life can be both wonderful and challenging all within the span of minutes.  During this workshop we will explore how to improve your self-awareness and gain better understanding of what triggers your emotional reactions. You’ll discover techniques to manage your triggers so you can better manage your response. Learn how to change your mind set on stress and arm yourself with tools that give you courage and confidence to have difficult conversations with a positive outcome.

5:30 - 6:30 p.m. Dinner
6:30 - 8:00 p.m. Let’s Create! We’ll close out the night relaxing and spending time with each other, while putting our creativity to work with a fun project.

Elaine Kub author of Mastering the Grain Markets: How Profits Are Really Made will lead you through an exploration of the unique behavioral economics of the markets with an interactive, hands-on marketing scenario. There are some unavoidable risks in this complex industry, so it pays to understand the decision-making process and how some sources of risk can be conquered.

10:45 – 11: 45 a.m. Farm Safety: Hazard Mapping
This interactive program will guide you through the process of identifying safety hazards on your farm.  You’ll develop practical ways to decrease safety risks and design a plan to protect your family, employees and visitors on your farm.
